Obama plan calls for increases between 30 percent to 79 percent in Tricare annual premiums

Obama has tipped his hand. He’s showing the entire country what he thinks about our military service people – the people who risk their lives for their country are worth less than civilian defense workers who push papers around in Washington.

Chances are you don’t know much about this story. There’s a good reason for that. The Big Media don’t want you to know, because they recognize the political radioactivity it represents. This is the Death Star for Obama’s re-election campaign. If Americans know about this – Republicans, Democrats and independents all oppose him.

Here are the details of the story broken by the intrepid Bill Gertz:

a.. “The Obama administration’s proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their health care, while leaving unionized civilian defense worker’ benefits untouched.”

b.. “Several congressional aides suggested the move is designed to increase the enrollment in Obamacare’s state-run insurance exchanges.”

c.. “The disparity in treatment between civilians and uniformed personnel is causing a backlash within the military that could undermine recruitment and retention.”

d.. “Significantly, the plan calls for increases between 30 percent to 79 percent in Tricare annual premiums for the first year. After that, the plan will impose five-year increases ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent – more than three times current levels.”

Think about this – and imagine how you would campaign against Obama on just this one issue.

U.S. military service people don’t get the equipment they need to do their jobs. They don’t have the manpower they need to complete their missions. Their families scrimp and sacrifice financially so they can serve their country. They risk their lives and give their lives for their country.

But, according to the Obama administration, unionized civilian defense workers, sitting behind their comfortable desks in Washington, deserve better treatment than our heroes serving overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere.

It’s almost unbelievable that Obama could serve up a slow-pitch softball like this for Republicans to knock out of the park.

It’s even more unbelievable that none of them has.

Which is why I write this column.

Obama needs to pay for this. Whether or not he backs off, whether or not Congress throws his budget out the window, whether or not these cuts are ever enacted, Obama needs to pay a big political price for showing his cards. Republicans need to remind Americans every day that Obama is the guy who wants to cut medical care for soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen – all while preserving the goodies for Washington bureaucrats.

Men and women who put their lives on the line, who risked their health and well-being, are treated like second-class citizens in ObamaWorld.

He signaled his absolute contempt for the U.S. military – not just the institution of the military, but the active-duty grunts on the front lines.

This is an easy one for the American people to understand.

So where are the Republicans?

Where are the talk-show hosts?

Where is the blogosphere chatter?

Obama has stepped in something very smelly here. Why aren’t more Obama critics making hay of it?

Justices Souter and O’Connor, Intelligence Agency Heads and Congressmen All Warn of Tyranny in America

Washington’s Blog reported Retired Supreme Court Justice David Souter spoke to the University of New Hampshire School of Law and said that the “pervasive civic ignorance” in the America could bring dictatorship:

I don’t worry about our losing a republican government in the United States because I’m afraid of a foreign invasion. I don’t worry about it because of a coup by the military, as has happened in some other places. What I worry about is that when problems are not addressed people will not know who is responsible, and when the problems get bad enough — as they might do for example with another serious terrorist attack, as they might do with another financial meltdown — some one person will come forward and say:  ‘Give me total power and I will solve this problem.’

That is how the Roman republic fel.  Augustus became emperor not because he arrested the Roman senate. He became emperor because he promised that he would solve problems that were not being solved.

Sandra Day O’Connor, Former Supreme Court justice has also warned of dictatorship.

And course, they are not the only ones warning of fascism.  We noted in April:

Senator Frank Church – who chaired the famous “Church Committee” into the unlawful FBI Cointel program, and who chaired the Senate Foreign Relations Committee – said in 1975:

“Th[e National Security Agency’s]  capability at any time could be turned around on the American people, and no American would have any privacy left, such is the capability to monitor everything: telephone conversations, telegrams, it doesn’t matter. There would be no place to hide.  [If a dictator ever took over, the N.S.A.] could enable it to impose total tyranny, and there would be no way to fight back.“

Now, the NSA is building a $2 billion dollar facility in Utah which will use the world’s most powerful supercomputer to monitor virtually all phone calls, emails, internet usage, purchases and rentals, break all encryption, and then store everyone’s data permanently.

The former head of the program for the NSA recently held his thumb and forefinger close together, and said:

We are, like, that far from a turnkey totalitarian state

Sorry, But I think we are already there. Seems like part of the Gov is now only symbolic or ceremonial. The corruption and power grabbing has reached a level that will be hard to break. It will take a drastic situation I am afraid…

 

The pen is mightier than the sword, but actions speak louder than words!

 

Ignorance is enslaving America – and the political will to protect it’s greatest resource – educational capital – is lacking.

IF YOU SUPPORT OBAMA, YOU SUPPORT SOCIALISM

1. Was Obama  from ages 10-20 not mentored by the avowed communist Frank Marshal Davis?
2. Did Obama not admit he sought out radical socialist professors while in college?
3. Did Obama not hang out with radical socialists in Chicago?

“The November 2011 Declaration of Principles of the Party of European Socialists (PES) summarizes the European socialist agenda.

I condense its main points and compare them with Obama’s statements and legislative initiatives:

PES: The welfare state and state-provided universal access to education and health care are society’s great achievements.

Obama: Favors universal access to health care and associated benefits as a critical expansion of the welfare state.

PES: A strong and just society must ensure that the wealth generated by all is shared fairly as determined by the state.

Obama: Favors progressive taxes on the rich to redistribute income and wealth from winners to losers and to ensure that all pay their fair share. (As he has said: “When you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”)

PES: Collective responsibility makes society stronger when people work together, and all people are enabled to live a dignified life, free of poverty and protected from social risks in life.

Obama: Favors collective responsibility (as defined by the federal government) to protect all from social risks through food stamps, welfare programs, extended unemployment benefits, guaranteed health care, the bailing out of big companies, forcing renegotiation of mortgages, class action law suits, and other measures. (Instead of opportunity and incentive to succeed, no one is allowed to fail).

PES: The state must insure that economic growth is environmentally “sustainable.”

Obama: Favors carbon taxes, higher energy prices, restricted drilling and refining, and subsidies of green technology for the “common good,” even at the expenses of higher conventional growth and jobs.

PES: If unfettered by state control, market forces, driven by and greed and shift power to the privileged few, deepen economic, geographic and social inequalities, and create economic crises.

Obama: Shows a distrust of market forces and advocates selective regulation, subsidies, and taxation to persuade or coerce business to promote the general welfare as he defines it. Industries not part of his collective endeavor (oil and gas and coal) are penalized. Industries that serve his conception of “general welfare” (green technology) are to be promoted even if the market rejects them.

PES: Ensuring long lasting prosperity, stability and above all, peace requires effective coordination in the international realm based on democracy, mutual respect, and human rights.

Obama: Places reliance on international institutions, international consensus, and mutual respect in the conduct of foreign policy. (The United States must coordinate its foreign policy with international organizations and treat even rogue nations with respect in the hope that they will voluntarily improve their behavior).

PES: A strong state must preserve the public good, guarantee the common interest, promote justice and solidarity and allow people to lead lives rich beyond material wealth, so that each individual’s fulfillment is also part of a collective endeavor.

Obama: Advocates a strong state that offers the “positive right” of political and economic justice to its citizens. He complains that the U.S. Constitution is a “charter of negative liberties,” that dictates what government “can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.”

I have noticed that most liberals I have met, evidently were born with
their mouths open whining for more of what others had earned, and never
shut their mouths long enough to learn or earn anything.

By Marion Valentine  Wednesday, April 7, 2010 The Obama Clock is racing ahead with the speed of light.  On Monday, word went out to the world that the US would not use the nuclear option—even in self defense.  Today comes the news that the White House will expunge the term “Islamic radicalism” from the lexicon of international terrorism. The Free World as we know it has already become an upside down one, where right is wrong and wrong is right.  Marxists in office are creating chaos and blaming the chaos on those who dissent against them. But  while the hands on the Obama clock spin crazily around the clock face, it is the blueprint or pattern behind it that tells us the real time, the truth and reality of what is happening. The transformation of America taking place before our very eyes at a dizzying pace comes from phases, based on a formula to take America to its end. Drawing on my experience as an Intelligence/Cryptologist for the U.S. Navy, here is where we are and where we are headed in the Obama Clock.  By following these phases you can actually predict the next move of the enemy. Phase One: This phase which took decades to complete happened in the days when our grandfathers were out in the fields farming the land, raising their families, congregating in church on Sundays and paying their taxes. Ref:  The Communist goals as duly entered in the Congressional Record, June, 1963 The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) The Bilderberg Group George Soros and Members of the Democracy Alliance. The Gamiliel Foundation Selecting and getting elected members of Congress: (sleepers, who would hide their true motives, and just slowly push in baby steps towards Socialism until all other parts of plan were in place) Those members of Congress; Pelosi, Waxman, Rangel, Waters, Lee, Reid,Dodd, Boxer, Schumer, Durbin, and others are puppets, or the “useful idiots”  of the above named groups, The groups listed above, and others, manipulated financial and futures markets, energy supplies and prices, world currencies, and world conflicts (military industrial complex) to maximize the concentration of wealth into the hands of a few. Selecting and tutoring a presidential contender, creating a “crisis” to ensure the outcome of the election. Phase Two: Now In progress Nationalizing all aspects of the American economy. Creating and mobilizing a private army Discredit and intimidate dissenters Create a crisis in order to declare a national emergency and martial law. Create violent civic unrest and blame on dissenters. Phase Three: Eliminate dissenters, suspend the constitution, the Judiciary, and do away with Elections Presidential term limits. Form the American Union, including   N and S America, Canada and Mexico, Join with the EU Phase Four: Use economic and military pressure to force Asian and African countries to join the union. Exploit all natural resources (Obama’s 11 million acre land grab which covers most of the oil reserves in the U.S.) Flood the market with cheap energy to force Muslim nations whose economy is dependent on Oil exports to join the Union. Create a Global Union of Socialist Nation States controlled by the UN This is what I firmly believe will happen, taking all the world wide happenings, not as separate events, but each as a part of the larger event. Hopefully Americans will wake up and not allow this to happen.
