Moon Bats Mourn News about Rush Limbaugh

Satire by John W. Lillpop

For
the briefest of moments this morning, left wing nut balls all across
America got a head start on the celebrations and hell –raising slated
to ring in the New Year at midnight.

Liberal spirits were boosted by news from that on-line leftist rag, Wikipedia, which excitedly reported the demise of Rush Limbaugh on the island of Oahu, where, incidentally, Barack Obama was NOT born.

Champagne bottles were prematurely uncorked, noise makers and confetti went free
for the taking at DNC branches, and Harry Reid declared that Rush’s passing was about 50 years too late.

Not a dry eye was to be found as moon bats from coast-to-coast cried with unrestrained joy at the Wikipedia breaking news.

El Rushbo was no more!

Then
came the tragic news from Oahu: Not only had Rush survived, but now the
bloke was resting comfortably and was expected to be back on the air as
scheduled next week!

Dark, deep down depression among the left was the inevitable response.

Shrieker of the House Nancy Pelosi left her $10,000 a
night bungalow in Kona on the “Big Island” long enough to try to cheer up dispirited moon bates.

Said
she, “This would not have happened if ObamaCare had been in place. We
would have recognized the name and would have ordered an immediate stop
to all treatment, including assisted breathing. This we would have done
for the children, the poor, and the hopeless.”

Pelosi also reminded her audience that Limbaugh had all the symptoms of a serious heart attack which, as she put it, “gives us all hope for a better outcome in 2010!”

God Bless Nancy Pelosi??

Public Schools Embrace Debauchery & Apostasy Over Christmas Music

By Dr. Frederick Meekins  Thursday, December 31, 2009

Most Americans would agree that freedom of conscience ranks among
our most cherished liberties.  As such, the state should protect this
particular right by almost any means necessary and reasonable
(especially for citizens).

In California, an initiative has been undertaken to get a ballot
before voters to determine the propriety of Christmas music in
California public schools.  Within the measure is a clause that would
require schools to notify parents 21 days before the specified tunes
would be played or performed so that students can opt out of being
exposed to such material.

Those having embraced a rigorous interpretation regarding the
separation of church and state will applaud the measure as a
enlightened compromise as these voices will be among the first to point
out that, in these swinging days of free thought, not everyone embraces
the Christianity espoused by these Yuletide harmonies.  One must ask
then would the exponents of the unsullied conscience be as outspoken in
defense of those wanting to be excused from exposure to more
progressivist causes and material.

Absolutarian relativists claim that, in order to ensure the
scholastic neutrality of the classroom, not even a whiff of religious
material can be permitted to waft across young impressionable minds.
That might be what is claimed in theory, but the reality falls far
short as an exclusionary objectivity is applied only to Christianity
with other worldviews and religions actually imposed upon students.

Any rational person will admit that, in order to have the most
comprehensive understanding of the world possible, one must have an
understanding of religion as one of history’s most influential
motivating forces.  However, there is a point at which education
becomes advocacy.

For example, it has already been stated that even if authorized,
traditional Christmas music will be categorized as quasi-subversive in
nature as one has to admit exposure to these lyrics could potentially
alter the very spiritual identity of those exposed to them.  However,
such caution is not exercised in regards to Islam.

According to a WorldNetDaily.com story titled “Islamic studies
required in California district” posted 1/2/02, students there are
required to learn about this prominent world religion.  However,
students were not going to be doing this via the traditional social
studies methodology of reading a standard text detached in tone about
the tenets of this system of belief and its impact upon the world in
terms of history, geography, and culture.  Rather, the curriculum
required students to live out Islam.  This was to be achieved by having
students memorize Koranic verses, praying in the name of Allah,
adopting an Islamic name, and staging a pretend jihad.

Wonder if the name Nadal Malik Hassan mmmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmmm is
available with students able to pretend to shoot up an army base.  When
one takes all this into consideration, the above lesson plan sort of
looses its grade school charm, doesn’t it?

Mass death brings up yet another disturbing point.  According to
Islamic teaching, all one has to do to become a Muslim is to say with
conviction that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet.

Parents need to seriously investigate if this is one of the Islamic
phrases being chanted in the public schools where an accommodationist
approach to the study of Islam has been adopted, and if it has, parents
need to be quite insistent as to having their children removed from the
program even if it means withdrawing from the particular school all
together.  For you see, to a sizeable percentage of Muslims around the
world, one is justified in murdering someone that apostasizes or leaves
the faith.

To many, this may seem like theological nitpicking on the scale of
debating how many angels can dance on the head of a needle.  However,
should we, with little resistance, be giving these fanatics another
reason with a straight face to kill Americans?

Numerous Muslims will insist that their faith does not condone the
slaughter of innocent people.  They just don’t tell you that their
definition of innocent is much narrower than ours.  Never has an
insincerely or regretfully sung Christmas Carol resulted in anyone’s
death.

The hypertolerant will sneer that this extremism of either
Christians wanting everyone to sing Christmas tunes or Islamists
demanding students recite the Koran and even miss recess as a simulated
form of Ramadan fasting are shortcomings inherent to the traditional
religious mindset irrespective of the belief system in question.
However, the agnostic reprobate can’t resist to impose their belief on
everyone else either.

To both the pagan who sees the natural world as God and the
materialist who believes in nothing beyond the natural world, there is
nothing as important as the reproductive pleasure cravings we all
posses and know as the sex drive.  Since it is claimed that there is no
absolute truth in these particular worldviews, the “is” automatically
becomes the “ought” and however the libidinous impulse manifests itself
is acceptable upon the particular social context.  Therefore, those
wanting a world with the fewest taboos possible have a vested interest
in convincing the greatest number possible to this perspective.

And unlike the Christian and even the Muslim for all that matter,
this persuasion is not so much for the benefit of the soul of the
person whose mind the adherents of these respective outlooks are out to
change.  Rather those trapped in lives of carnal destitution are so
wracked by personal guilt that they cannot bear the thought of others
disapproving of their individual predilections.  That is why students
cannot be permitted to privately make their own decisions about what we
are continually reminded are private decisions.

When it comes to matters of traditional religious belief, the
secularists believe that children should not be exposed to theology
until they reach maturity.  However, when it comes to conjugal
relations, indoctrination is suppose to commence nearly the first day
of kindergarten.

In June 2009, a California school district approved a mandatory
homosexual appreciation curriculum.  As part of the curriculum, five
year olds will study a book titled “And Tango Makes Three” about two
“gay” penguins that hatch an egg together.  They name the chick “Tango”
because “…it takes two to make a Tango.”

This propaganda will cause mental damage that will take years to
undue if it can be done so at all.  Likely contrary to the mantra of
the illustrated tractate, these were not the two that made Tango.

Like it or not, a male and a female penguin had to copulate together
in order for little Tango to be brought into existence.  All the two
penguins in the story can do is raise him.

Do four and five year olds really need to be exposed to the
intricacies of human relationships and reproduction?  Most can barely
tie their own shoes.

The lessons learned about the biological impossibility of a child
having two parents of the same sex and what ought to be a legal
impossibility as well since two unmarried people shackedup should not
be permitted to simultaneously adopt the same child will not stop in
kindergarten.  They will be expanded upon from year to year as the
student progresses through the statist school system.

In the first grade, according to WorldNetDaily, the book “Who Is A
Family” will dupe students into believing that “in our school and our
community there are many different kinds of families that provide love
and care to each other.  Remind the students that all family structures
are equally important.”

Do these “equally valid family structures” include fundamentalist
polygamist Mormons?  Does this also include radical Islamist families
where the fathers murder their daughters in so-called “honor killings”
for exhibiting such proclivities towards harlotry such as wanting to
pursue higher education and not wanting to wear burlap bags over their
faces?  After all, even if we find these practices abhorrent, it must
be reminded they fall under the rubric of “all” family structures being
equally valid.

Technically, a number of the social arrangements being promoted as
such aren’t even families.  But Western society has become so unhinged
morally that only the most daring are publicly willing to enunciate
these observations.

A family consists of a married man and women and any children that
might result from their fecund union or any children such adults united
together might adopt.  If one is feeling especially innovative and
cutting edge, one might be able to expand the definition to include the
unmarried propagating offspring via fornication.

However, no matter how much we might want it to be so, the
non-biologically related unmarried adult residing in the home with the
actual parent is not part of the family.  They might be the concubine
or harlot of the adult residing in a particular domicile, but they can
only be a friend or acquaintance of the child not all that different in
terms of relationship than the next door neighbor.

Even if the laws are altered to let anyone live anyway they want
with all the accompanying tax breaks and even welfare handouts to which
they claim they are entitled, it will not be enough.  The consciences
of those living in manners contrary to both theology and biology are so
pricked that they will not be content letting you simply put up with
the iniquities they have wrought but also compel you to applaud and
embrace these appalling decisions.

Fourth graders will be required to read an essay titled “My School
Is Accepting—But Things Could Be Better”.  Along with this assignment,
elementary students will be required to define “gay”, “lesbian”, and
“LGBT”.  By the way, to the pure of mind, that acronym is not a
reference to a deli sandwich.

About all children need to know about human reproduction at that age
is that babies somehow grow inside women’s stomachs.  My grandfather
didn’t know what the word “pregnant” meant until after he got married
in his early 20’s and he came from a family of ten kids that lived on a
farm.  Things might not need to be that hushed over, but neither does
everything need to hang out in the open classroom either.

As part of the curriculum, students will be extended the opportunity
to learn of the warped affections of Elton John, Ellen Degeneres,
Christina Aguilera, and Lance Bass.  Are we going to also learn about
the preferred bodily orifices of other historical figures such as
Thomas Jefferson’s alleged bout of jungle fever?

In all likelihood, his name won’t even come up in class.
Familiarity with the primary author of the Declaration of Independence
and third president might fortify students against the efforts to
deprive them of their liberty.

In their preparation for world conquest and hegemony, do Red Chinese
pupils sit around discussing what celebrity likes what hole?  Maybe if
American students spent less time on these frivolities, educators would
find the traditional 180 day school year sufficient and no longer need
a reason to threaten an extended academic calendar.

It is claimed such acculturation (more accurately indoctrination) is
necessary to prevent bullying.  However, wouldn’t a generalized policy
of don’t make fun of anyone at school without bogging down young minds
with things that would make even grown adults blush and giggle in mixed
company be enough?.

Familiarity breeds contempt.  Though social engineers might try
their hardest, human nature is pretty set within established parameters
and as such these educators might end up stirring up the very
animosities this ideological indoctrination is suppose to prevent.

Whether this contraindicated outcome is what is actually desired or
not could be open to debate.  The state benefits even more when the
results are the opposite of peace and understanding as activists
believe they are then justified in calling for additional restrictions
on speech and thought.

Isaiah 5:20 warns, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good
evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put
bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”  American society is swiftly
approaching the point of no return when those that run our educational
institutions would rather the nation’s children be acquainted with the
most shameful of deeds and desires rather than the noblest of truths
that have inspired the highest of ideals for millennia

protests. The Protests are in response to the murder of number of
protestors during the “Ashura Day” Protests on December 26th and 27th.

The protestors are in particular gathering around Enghelab Square
where the main protest is to take place. Security forces and the Basij
are doing their best to prevent people from gathering together, are not
allowing people to stand in one location, and are forcing people to
keep on walking.

According to news reports from Iran Press News
there are protests in various locations in Tehran including “Hafte Tir
Square.” There are also protests in Enghelab Square where protestors
have gathered in front of the Enghelab Square Subway Station. Security
forces and Basij are very much present and are trying to prevent people
from protesting. Enghelab Subway Station has been shut down.

According to “Green Power
news reports security forces are using tear gas in Hafte Tir Square
against the protestors. They are also attacking and beating protestors
with batons in hopes of preventing people from gathering together and
protesting.

Tall, Dark, and Handsome—but Hardly Presidential

By John W. Lillpop

For nigh unto three years, Barack Obama
has cajoled, charmed, and captivated scores of millions of naive people
throughout the world, including most of the mainstream media, into
believing that he, and he alone, has the answers to the many problems
that befuddle America and all of the world for that matter.

Almost
from the beginning, Obama succeeded in ‘running a thrill up and down
the legs’ of liberals looking for a black hero and antidote to W. and
the right.

For example, this from the October, 2006 San Francisco Chronicle:

“The
cameras almost never stopped clicking and flashing. Obama, who is lean,
strikingly handsome and easy with his incandescent smile, joked that
he’d have to ice his arm down after the book signings.”

Just to show that Obama was more than just a pretty face in an empty suit, the Chronicle threw in this quote from The One:

"When the American people
pay attention, good things happen," he said in his short speech. "Our
instincts are good." Obama said people were tired of the "slash and
burn" style of politics of recent years and are searching for "common
values and common ideals."

“The country, he said, "is in a serious mood."

Mind
you, this was before Obamamania had taken root in the minds and souls
of millions of folks who would stand all agog in his presence while a
choir of heavenly angels trumpeted his every utterance.

This
was before CHANGE became the defining word in a presidential campaign,
although the intent was never really explained or defined.

Over the ensuing months, Obama took on the best qualities of JFK, Martin Luther King, and Jesus Christ, while morphing into a clean and articulate black brother, a rarity if Joe Biden is to be believed.

The American people bought into the Obamamania created by the mainstream media and elected him to serve as president of the United States.

Eleven months after the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th American President, a new reality has emerged:

He may be Tall, Dark, and Handsome—but Barack Obama is hardly Presidential!

Tea Party: Liberty Concerts

A message to all members of Patriotic Resistance

Teaparty.org is inviting all of you to take part in their Liberty Concerts:

Tea Party Taking The Next Step

"We are setting the tone for
taking back America with Liberty Concerts. We are not waiting until the
first quarter of the year, we have already begun." Dale Robertson, President and Founder of the Tea Party – TeaParty.org

‘Liberty Concerts’ is a venue designed to be the key to create a model for our Nation to Take Back America. The Tea Party
does not intend to waste their time simply rallying. The Plan is to
optimize the events, they will be fun and Citizens will be asked to run
for office, with the focus of Restoring America, and thus, putting it
on the Conservative track.

The goal is to shift attendees from
being merely a presence at a rally, into involved Patriots recognizing
the need to be engaged in the process of Self-Governance.
The Tea Party is gearing up for action. Robertson has a developing strategy to bring the Republic back under the control of ‘We The People.’ He is asking for thousands of Patriots across America, to run for office.

Robertson
stated: "Even though the likelihood of their success is diminished by
the lack of experience or financial support; the knowledge will be
invaluable for the next election cycle and a point of pride for the
American People."

The Tea Party’s number one imperative, is to
have candidates on the ballot. The second priority is to get out the
vote, especially in Texas where Robertson lives and the home of over
800,000 members of the Tea Party……….

Robertson is
molding the Tea Party events to empower Citizens so they will make a
difference in the November 2010 elections. The ongoing tactics are to
prioritize States, creating a durable model for ballot access, voter
eligibility, precinct chair/county chairs, and candidate awareness. The
Tea Party is actively seeking candidates that represent Conservative
Constitutional Values. It appears the Major Parties can’t get in step
with such a complex idea as Conservative Constitutional Values;
therefore, the Tea Party will make it easy for the Independent Parties to break the glass ceiling and get on the ballot.

The
‘Liberty Concerts’ event taking place in Stafford, Texas is a
developing prototype, which when successful, will allow the Tea Party
to create a thriving event not in months but days. We will be quick on
the draw, sure fired and ready to rock in a matter of only a few days.
This Tea Party formula will work against incredible odds and will be
nothing short of a miracle, but Robertson believes with all his heart
all the pieces will fall into place.

Does the Tea Party really
believe it can make a difference in November? "Some say, "talk is
cheap" but 2 years ago when I started the modern day Tea Party no one
believed it could work now 7 million strong, the world is listening and
America is hoping, we will not fail." Dale Robertson – TeaParty.org

Control of Climate Policies by Unaccountable Bureaucracies; The Canadian Example

By Dr. Tim Ball  Thursday, December 31, 2009

CanadaFreePress published some of this article a few years ago but
few saw it because it was quickly pulled after I received a legal
threat I was financially unable to fight. Legal threats to silence
people are a common practice of supporters of human caused global
warming. I related my experience to Dr Fred Singer and he immediately
named the lawyer. How did he know? He and others had received threats
from the same lawyer.

The threats are part of personal attacks and other tactics
perpetrated by nasty web sites like Desmogblog, organized by James
Hoggan, Chairman of the Board of the David Suzuki Foundation. William
Connolley perpetuated many of the smears through his control of climate
entries on Wikipedia. We now know those who were attacked were viewed as real threats by the CRU gang and their supporters at Realclimate.

Now the web of lies and deception associated with climate science
are exposed it is time to revisit what triggered the legal attack on
the CFP article. It involved the role of bureaucrats at Environment
Canada (EC) in determining national policy on climate change,
particularly the role of Gordon McBean former Assistant Deputy Minister
(ADM). Canadian bureaucrats were more important than most appointed to
the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) about who MIT
Meteorology professor and former IPCC member Richard Lindzen wrote,
“Most of the 2500 members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change (IPCC) are bureaucrats appointed by their governments to push a
political agenda.” “It is no small matter that routine weather service
functionaries from New Zealand to Tanzania are referred to as ‘the
world’s leading climate scientists.’ It should come as no surprise that
they will be determinedly supportive of the process.”

Bureaucratic Bastions

Scientists associated with the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) also
controlled the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) whose
Reports became the bible for politicians developing global energy and
economic strategies.  Their corrupted climate science needed a
permanent conduit to the politicians. Maurice Strong, mastermind of the
IPCC, used his skills with bureaucratic systems and through the World
Meteorological Organization (WMO) involved national weather agencies
that then controlled politicians. Strong’s close connections to former
Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin apparently meant early Canadian
involvement. It continues as the government web page notes; Environment
Canada is a strong supporter of, and an active participant in, the
IPCC. Dr. John Stone (Environment Canada, retired), holds a position on
the Bureau and Working Group II, Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability.
Art Jaques, Director, Greenhouse Gas Division, Environment Canada, is a
member of the Task Force Bureau on National Greenhouse Gas Inventories.
As well, over 30 Canadian scientists from government, universities and
the private sector are participating as authors and editors for the
IPCC’s Fourth Assessment Report.
John Stone’s position is critical
as the liaison between the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment (ACIA)
group and the IPCC. The ACIA Reports are almost the sole source for
Arctic coverage in the 2007 IPCC Report.

Years ago, I warned Henry Hengeveld of EC that convincing
politicians of global warming due to human production of CO2 was
difficult, but twice as difficult once they were convinced. The theory
was unproven and total adoption so early placed them on a treadmill of
denial. No bureaucrat would risk telling those politicians who adopted
it as their political position that it was wrong. EC bought the theory
completely. Instead of following scientific method of disproving the
hypothesis Environment Canada worked to prove it was correct by
ignoring evidence and stifling questioners.

Gordon McBean was the person responsible for the singular and
devastating direction the department took.  He came with a PhD and
quickly achieved high rank. He brought his political view of
environmental issues and particularly global warming expressed in a
speech to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in 1995. He spent
his career promoting these views and virtually destroyed the Canadian
weather service while wasting billions of dollars. The Auditor General
put the cost at $6.8 billion from 1997 to 2005.

McBean also established his post-bureaucratic career
by using $61 million of money to set up the Canadian Foundation for
Climate and Atmospheric Sciences (CFCAS) a climate research
organization that he took over as Chair in the month he retired. This
agency only funded research that proved the human caused warming theory
or the impact of warming. The current government stopped the funding.

Interestingly, McBean’s bio on Wikipedia makes no mention of his
role as a bureaucrat. It does mention he orchestrated a letter with
another CRU associate and IPCC member, computer modeler Andrew Weaver,
in response to the letter signed by 60 scientists asking the Canadian Prime Minister for an open debate.

Why were they afraid of a debate? They got 90 signatures but the
majority were Environment Canada employees or people benefiting from
government largess. In the fall of 2008, McBean pushed for more
funding. Foundation Chair Gordon McBean met with new Environment
Minister Jim Prentice late last fall and walked away hopeful the
minister would fight for foundation funding at the budget table.
McBean continues as a lead author for the ACIA.

McBean’s influence went beyond his role with EC. He was a principle
participant in the formation of the IPCC and chaired the preliminary
meeting in Villach, Austria in 1985 attended by the CRU leaders Jones
and Wigley. Canadian appointees to the IPCC always excluded most
Canadian experts, a situation that continues today. He directed
department funding and resources into studying global warming, but only
to prove the hypothesis. I realized what was going on years ago when
they spent $300 million on a computer incapable of simulating global
climate or climate change.

To cover these wastes they took money from other programs that now
make any hope of good science impossible. There are fewer weather
stations in Canada now than in 1960, and many were replaced with
Automatic Weather Observing Stations (AWOS). Many important activities
and data collection practices were abandoned. When I chaired the
Assiniboine River Management Advisory Board (ARMAB) in Manitoba the
worst flood on record occurred. We asked Water Resources why they
didn’t forecast the event. They said they had no data on the amount of
water in the snow in the valley.  We learned EC had canceled flights
that used special radar to determine water content. Savings as I recall
were $26,000. The cost of unexpected flood damage was $7 million to one
level of government alone. Loss of weather data means long continuous
records essential to any climate studies will fail. This data cannot be
replaced or replicated.

Another egregious example of ECs failure was cancellation of support
for a joint program with the National Museum of Canada in the 1980s and
1990s. Run under the auspices of the National Museum of Natural
Sciences it was titled “Climatic Change in Canada During the Past 20,000 years.” This
program brought together a multitude of experts in all different
aspects of climate and climate reconstruction and produced volumes of
collected papers that put Canada in the forefront of climate research
and reconstruction. To my knowledge none of these experts was called to
testify before Parliamentary hearings on Kyoto or were appointed to the
IPCC. EC deliberately excluded Canadian climate experts – something
that continues to this day. Although climate change became political
the unaccountable bureaucrats at Environment Canada controlled it.

They took the singular and unsupportable position that climate
change due to human CO2 was fact. It put them on the treadmill I warned
Henry Hengeveld about. They thwarted the standard method of science to
disprove a theory. They deliberately excluded experts who challenged
the science. When Natural Resources Minister David Anderson said they
had consulted all Canadian climate experts on the Kyoto Accord, I
traveled to Ottawa with seven others and in a press forum announced we
were never consulted. They used all the power and vehicles of
government to promote their false claims to the public. The EC web site
continued to carry the ‘hockey stick’ graph long after it was
discredited among other erroneous information. A wider problem was all
other government agencies had to accept their claims as the basis for
their policies and planning. The inclusion of so many bureaucrats in
the IPCC almost guarantees that similar situations occurred in most
other governments.

2009 Chickens and Their 2010 Roost

In the coming year, plenty of our chickens will be coming home to roost.

Take foreign relations. In 2009, the new administration assumed that
George W. Bush was largely responsible for global tensions. As a

uneasy relationships.

interpreted Barack Obama’s serial goodwill gestures as weaknesses to be
exploited. They play the part of the pushy class bully, we the whiny

In the waning days of 2009, Iran has announced it has no intention
of dismantling its nuclear facilities and ignored the latest Obama
deadline to cease. There’s no reason not to expect the theocracy to
make significant strides in its nuclear program in 2010, while
continuing without rebuke to beat and murder democratic dissidents in
its streets.

Russia has announced plans to develop a new generation of nuclear
weapons – and scoffed at our polite suggestions that it should pressure
Iran to stop its nuclear development.

Venezuela brags of its own similar program to come — an act that could threaten all the neighboring democracies in the region.

The administration courted China on a much-heralded Asian tour.
President Obama even has said he would be our first "Pacific president."

Unfortunately, China was not impressed. It declined our advice about
reducing its carbon footprint and instead reminded Americans that we
owe the Chinese people nearly $1 trillion. Expect much more of that
hectoring in 2010 as our debt to China grows.

Consider also the threat of Islamic terrorism. In 2009, some in the
Obama administration decided "war on terror" was too provocative a
label for what might be better dubbed "overseas contingency
operations." Apparently, they were thinking a kinder, gentler image
would discourage terrorists.

Accordingly, the self-confessed architect of Sept. 11, Khalid Sheikh
Mohammed, was promised a civil trial in New York rather than a military
tribunal normally accorded to out-of-uniform murderous terrorists.
Expect a lot of soapbox speechmaking about America’s sins during his
testimony in 2010.

As part of our efforts to break with the Bush anti-terrorism past,
President Obama also vowed he would close the facility at Guantanamo
Bay by Jan. 22, 2010 – another deadline that won’t be met.

But as 2009 ended, we were reminded that radical Islamic terrorists
still want to kill us for who we are, and what we represent, rather
than any particular thing we do.

Maj. Nidal Hasan, nursed on radical Islamic doctrine, murdered 12
fellow soldiers and one civilian at Ford Hood, Texas. Five would-be
terrorists with U.S. citizenship were arrested in Pakistan on their way
to link up with Islamist militant groups. And Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab
was stopped in flight from Amsterdam before he could blow up an
American passenger jet.

Note that all these recent terrorists were not poor, lived in the
hospitable West – and cared little that the Obama administration has
been critical of the U.S.’s prior war-on-terror policies.

So, while we assured the world in 2009 that we wouldn’t be
overzealous in our various efforts to stop terrorists, the terrorists
proved they most certainly would be in theirs to kill us.

Meanwhile, at home we operated on the same naive assumptions. The
Obama administration inherited a $500 billion deficit and expanded it
threefold. Its planned mega-deficits may well grow the aggregate
national debt over the next decade to over $20 trillion.

But the administration’s 2009 calculations on how to service the
growing red ink are based on continued cheap interest. Yet in 2010, it
is likely we will see rising inflation, rising interest rates – and
rising costs to the continual self-destructive borrowing.

We were given a financial break on energy prices in 2009. The
worldwide recession sent oil down to about $50 a barrel. But America
did little during the year’s reprieve to rush into production newly
discovered domestic gas and oil fields, to tap existing finds in
Alaska, or to license new nuclear plants.

By year’s end, oil was creeping back up to $80. If the economic
upswing continues, in 2010 it may near its old high of nearly $150 a
barrel. Soon we will wish we had done something concrete in 2009 rather
than offering more stale rhetoric about wind and solar power.

In other words, 2009 may seem to have ended relatively quietly. But
in our foreign relations, in the war against terror, in our massive
borrowing, and in our energy policies, we created chickens that soon
will come home to roost in 2010.

Dick Cheney: A Voice of Reason among Vipers and Fools!

By John W. Lillpop

Granted, Dick Cheney is not a cool rock-star dude who oozes charisma and charm from every pore of his being.

Rather, he is a balding, bespectacled, overweight, 60-something multi-millionaire who just happens to be very conservative.

Besides being photographically and PC challenged, Dick Cheney has the heart of a lion—a very, very sick lion!

Above
all else, Dick Cheney is a dedicated American patriot who sincerely
gives a damn about America and the future of our great nation.

He has the guts and fortitude to ‘tell it exactly like it is,” which he does with gusto when the subject is Barack Obama’s idiotic pandering to Muslim terrorists.

As reported at politico.com, (1), in part, Cheney was in firing on all cylinders in recent comments about our befuddled and confused president:

“Former Vice President Dick Cheney
accused President Barack Obama on Tuesday of “trying to pretend we are not at war” with terrorists, pointing to the White House response to the attempted sky bombing as reflecting a pattern that includes banishing the term “war on terror” and attempting to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center.

“[W]e are at war and when President Obama pretends we aren’t, it makes us less safe,” Cheney said in a statement to POLITICO.

“Why doesn’t he want to admit we’re at war? It doesn’t fit with the view of the world he brought with him to the Oval Office.
It doesn’t fit with what seems to be the goal of his presidency —
social transformation — the restructuring of American society.”

Hooray for Dick Cheney for having the cajones to speak truth.

His words are like mana from heaven in an era dominated by vipers and fools.

Please continue to speak out, Mr. Vice President!
